Resource Staff Release May 2012

in Resources

Today, I’m here to tell you about some of my really good friends in the RM Community, and share some of their work with you.

In the many years that I’ve been part of the community, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some amazing artists and musicians, and to watch them work together on various projects. On our forums, we have gathered together a collection of these people, and they are working on what we call the Resource Staff.

Every month, the Resource Staff releases a collection of new resources, free to use for any noncommercial project. All you have to do is give credit to the original creator.

So, let’s get looking at this month’s release!

This month, we are focusing on full sets for some new heroes! The first up is The Archer, with a faceset by the ever so friendly Jalen, battler by the lightning fast brush of Thalzon, and sprite by one of our newest ReStaff members and a rising star in RM pixel art Shiro. (Click them for full size!)

Along with our Archer, we also have the Defender, with battler done by Thalzon, sprite done by Shiro, and Faceset done in collaboration between our own spectacular inhouse artist Archeia, and the lovely Scinaya.

The last complete set in our preview belongs to our Mage. With battler done, once again by Thalzon, and sprite and faceset done by the ever “interesting” Pentagon Buddy.

So now we have these cool sprites, and we’ll never see them in battle. Well our new scripting addition to our ReStaff, Fomar0153, has helped you out: His Front View Battle Add On, you will get a back view of the character sprites in battle!

We’ve also got some other graphical resources in the pack, such as this new iconset made by our ReStaff Lead: Timmah.

The full pack contains quite a bit more resources, and I will be uploading the earlier ReStaff releases this week for your use. To get the full May ReStaff pack, click the image below:

Next month, we will be continuing to finish full hero sets for your everyday use!

[All ReStaff releases are free for noncommercial use only. For commercial use, please contact the original creator of the materials. Always give credit to the individual creator for pieces you use. Do not repost these resources on other sites, you may link back to this site from other sites.]
