The New RPG Maker Web!

in Uncategorized

Greetings all, and welcome to the completely re-designed RPG Maker Web!

It’s been a week or two since we launched the new site and now that you’ve had some time to check it out we hope you are all enjoying the new look. We’ve been working at this for quite a while and it has taken an amazing team of very talented people in three different countries across the world to present this completely new version of RPG Maker Web. Let’s check out some of the cool new features we’ve implemented!

Header

The first thing you’ll probably notice is that we have a brand new menu along the top of the site. This menu allows for much easier navigation to any page you might be looking for. Simply hover over one of the headings to get a drop-down menu with a list of sub-pages. This not only saves you time, but also looks really spiffy. On the home page you can find the latest news and featured tutorials as always, along with information and links to each of our main programs. About half way down the page you can also find a more visual version of our navigation menu to help you get where you’re going.

Products

Instead of having a Products and a Store section, we’ve slimmed down to just Products and we’ve completely revamped the experience of looking through what we have to offer. At the top of the Products page you’ll find a large sliding banner that offers up the latest products and special offers. Just below that you’ll find our huge list of products. We’ve made it easy to look through them with buttons that let you filter through everything and find exactly what you want to check out while getting very neat visual effects in the process. In our navigation we also have links to specific sets of resources where you can choose from Graphics, Music, Ultimate Guides, and Non-RM packs as well as check out any of our programs directly.

Downloads

In the download section you’ll find links for Sample Games, RPG Maker VX Ace Lite, all of our free trials, run-time packages, etc. It’s all laid out so you can find what you want to download with ease. Our Support section also bears a number of new design choices that help us help you. Of these are a GetSatisfaction widget implemented directly on the Support page so you can ask us questions directly about the site or our products, as well as new forms for sending us emails, and a number of other pages that have been made easier to find. We even have links to specific categories of blog posts!

Speaking of the blog you’ve probably noticed by now that the blog has its own new design to fit the new site. We opted for something a lot cleaner, and simpler, but we still strive to bring you the best RPG Maker content on the web. Just with a much nicer look.

The new updates don’t extend to just the site and the blog though! It’s no secret that we’ve had some issues with our DRM/copy-protection in the past. We’ve fixed all that with a brand new DRM which we’ve already talked about here: Say Goodbye To Actviation Issues

How about we end this site overview with a bit of a preview? Let’s check out what’s to come on RPG Maker Web!

One thing we get asked about is our selection of products available on Steam. We’re working hard to add more and more of our DLC and it should start popping up on Steam on a regular basis soon. Part of that involves creating new cover art for all of our products so keep an eye out for some amazing new artwork coming from some of the spectacular artists in our forums and on our staff. Along with our partnership with Steam, we’re also releasing a lot of our products through other channels such as Gamestop (currently featuring some amazing bundles with RPG Maker VX Ace and the DS+ Pack or the High Fantasy 2 Pack!), ShinyLoot, Amazon, and many more! You can check out the full list of places to shop for RPG Maker content right here: Where To Buy. Remember a while back when we announced RPG Maker DC? We’ve been hard at work on that as well and hope to start public beta testing soon with more information to come.

Lastly, thank you all for visiting. We hope you enjoy the new RPG Maker Web and keep a lookout for all the great things we’ve got in store for you!
